Student Life

I love my university urbe it has advanced technology, it has a lot of greenery spaces. I have many friends here, it has laboratories, a library, 2 fields of soccer and 1 of baseball. Urbe is very confortable and a good university to study in.

Errands

Yesterday I had to run errands. I went to the bank with my mom to deposit some money. Then we went to the market to do the grocery and finally my mom left at the hair salon to have a hair cut.

Neighborhood

I live in a small neighborhood, everybody is friendly.There's not much greenery around the neighborhood but the sidewalks are wide and you can walk with no problem. It's a litte bit dangerous just likke every place in this country, but I have never been stolen there.

Urban legend

3 women in Chicago, turned up at hospitals over a 5 day period, all with the same symptoms. Fever, chills, and vomiting, followed by muscular collapse, paralysis, and finally, death. There were no outward signs of trauma. Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood. 

These women did not know each other, and seemed to have nothing in common. It was discovered, however, that they had all visited the same restaurant (Big Chappies, at Blare Airport), within days of their deaths. 

The health department descended on the restaurant, shutting it down. The food, water, and air conditioning were all inspected and tested, to no avail. 

The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check. She did not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom. 

That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read, drove out to the restaurant, went into the restroom, and lifted the toilet seat. Under the seat, out of normal view, was small spider. 

The spider was captured and brought back to the lab, where it was determined to be the South American Blush Spider (arachnius gluteus), so named because of its reddened flesh color. This spider's venom is extremely toxic, but can take several days to take effect. They live in cold, dark, damp, climates, and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere. 

Several days later a lawyer from Los Angeles showed up at a hospital emergency room. Before his death, he told the doctor, that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from New York, changing planes in Chicago, before returning home. He did not visit Big Chappies while there. He did, as did all of the other victims, have what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right buttock. 

Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in South America. The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an immediate inspection of the toilets of all flights from South America, and discovered the Blush spider's nests on 4 different planes! 

It is now beleived that these spiders can be anywhere in the country. So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for spiders. It can save your life!

Today I'm going to share a little bit about an online course that I'm taking. My english teacher told me about this course and it sounded very interesting. The course is about "How to build a search engine".

I finished my first level and I hope to keep learning programming :)

Banesco Robbery

Michael planned a bank robbery because he was broken and he needed some money. So he walked into the bank, and he said: "Give me all the money or I'll start killing people".




Everybody there inside gave him some money and he ran away from the crime    scene. 

Suddenly a police officer appeared in front of him and said: "Stop right there thief". Michael stopped and the police officer arrested him.

The police officer took the thief to the police station to question him. Michael had an alibi but the officer didn't believe anything of what he said, until Michael told the truth and confesses everything. Now Michael has to wait to be judged by a court.

Favorite Food

My favorite food is Pizza. It comes from Italy, is an oven-baked, flat, round bread typically topped with a tomato sauce, cheese and various toppings. My favorite kind of pizza is with a lot of cheese, corn and salami. I love it!

Class Dictation

When I was in high school, I studied very hard. My favorite subject was biology, and I always got good grades on my report card. Now, I'm a graduated student in biology. This semester, I'm taking classes from 8 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon and I'm working in a research hospital at night. It's a really long day but I enjoy it!

What is the meaning of this song to me?

To me the song is about acceptance and empowerment. Accepting yourself the way you are with all of your weaknesses while, realizing you are, unique and talent.


And for me the video was a reminder that your strength, your internal force, your courage has always been inside of you, and "now it's time to let it through".

My name's Reynaldo Faria but you can call me Rey! I'm from Maracaibo, Venezuela. I’m 18 years old and I study Computer Engineering. My favorite subject is English. This trimester I’m taking 5 classes and I’m in the 5th trimester.
